Month of daffodils
Daffodil fileds and the Queen Golica are waiting for you
The daffodil-whitened slopes of the Karavanke meadows and peaks are one of nature's greatest wonders, drawing visitors from near and far to Jesenice in May. On weekends, during the daffodil blooming season and peak attendance, the municipality of Jesenice will provide parking spaces in town as well as public transportation to Planina pod Golico, where you can admire the daffodil fields.
TRAFFIC REGULATIONS AND PARKING
Dates: 9 and 10 May, 16 and 17 May, and 23 and 24 May 2026
During three weekends (May 9–10, May 16–17, and May 23–24), traffic regulations in Planina pod Golico will be modified in favorable weather conditions. Visitors will be able to access the village by private vehicle, as organized bus transport with parking in the valley will not be available this year.
Parking will be available at designated parking areas within the village. The daily parking fee will be €10.00 (cash only), payable at the information point located at the bus stop in Prihodi.
The same parking regime will also be introduced this year in Javorniški Rovt. Traffic regulations will prohibit bus access; the entry point for privat vehicles is at Trilobit. Parking will be provided at Križovec, and a turning point will be arranged at Nočeva Mlaka.
The modified traffic regime will apply only in favorable weather conditions and on the specified dates. It will not apply to local residents or owners of land and holiday properties. Increased supervision by municipal wardens will be in place within the village.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT – bus
A new feature this year is a free shuttle service on the route Vintgar - Planina pod Golico - Vintgar. Stops, schedules, and additional information can be found below.
Route dates: 09 and 10 May, 16 and 17 May, and 23 and 24 May 2023, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
For the event on May 16, additional free transport will be organized on the route Municipality Jesenice - Planina pod Golico - Municipality Jesenice.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
You are especially invited to join us on May 16, when we will host 62nd Miss Daffodil. The event will be accompanied by lively entertainment program and festivities.
From 2 p.m. onwards, the youngest visitors are warmly invited to enjoy the children's program:
- Magic show by Jan
- Inflatable slides
- Circus workshops, jugglig and spinning plates
The competiotion starts at 3 p.m..
